How to train a dog in easy steps
Your dog is your most loved friend.
The reason is that it does not ask for much, is always friendly when it sees you and protects you and your valuable property.
So—if your dog is in your presence for the most part of the day and night and you spend oodles of dollars on food and medicine, why not get the most out of your investment and train him to listen to you or enjoy his “cleverness?”
Dog training can be so easy—just look at the way he immediately distracts in obedience when you raise your voice and shout at him.It shows that he listens to you and will obey what you tell him.
Easy steps to train dogs:
- Get a proper leash to control his movements.
- Start in your backyard with different obstacles and articles that he can get aquinted to.
- Think of anything that you want him to do and make-up a command –one that you will use regularly. Here you have to use common sense; the commands must be the ones that you will use often for your benefit. It is no use if you just “try” him out with a non-sense command and spend all the time and the command will not help you or the dog in the long run.
- The commands must be as short as possible (2 words)
- Give the command in a loud voice, at the same time direct your dog towards the object,gently pushing him.
- If the command is to sit, lie down or be quiet, you have to use your imagination—like instructing a child. The dog must respond immediately.
- If the dog obeys, reward him with a pat or a good rub. Some people prefer a cookie reward but there will be times when you do not have cookies with you.
- Every command that involves safety, eg. Not to bite, must be very harsh ,followed by a tug on the leash.
If you persist with this kind of train a dog, you will soon see the results and your friends will be amazed how clever your dog has become.
